Tattooed Moose - Johns Island

You have to go if you're around Johns island. If you're visiting Charleston and you go see the angel oak, then go eat here. It's down the street. Cool spot with great food and service. Duck fat fries and the burgers are delicious. Good beer selection as well. Check them out!

Always great. The pastrami was surprisingly delicious. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The street corn was way too thick on the garlic, but I sent it back, no issues at all. A+

Great food and drinks! The Monte Cristo was perfect for Sunday brunch. Really hit the spot. The environment is colorful and fun with great music to boot. Definitely going back!

Delicious food, great service, fun atmosphere! Their Brunswick Stew was very tasty, as were their French fries. Burger and Gyro were also delicious.

Very cool place. Waitress was amazing, one of the reasons it’s a high star rating from me.The atmosphere was the other main source of my rating, what a really cool place. Outside seating with variety of board games, corn hole and beautiful nature to enjoy.The food was just okay. Grilled cheese was really good, and the duck fat fries were good as well.Mac & Cheese was very meh. And the biscuits and eggs were meh as well.Overall very cool place with great customer service.

AWESOME and personable service...thanks, Eric! The food is really good and they have a nice beer selection. The vibe is relaxed and happy. It's just a cool place with cool staff and cool patrons. And, apparently, you can bring your pig. I'll remember that for next time.

Ordered the short rib chili and fried brussel sprouts. Chili came out cold. I think it would have been good if it would have been hot. Brussels sprouts were tasty but were swimming in grease. They should have let them drain longer. Left before ordering entree...would not recommend or return

The music, the couches, and the graffiti on the bathroom walls. LOVE. I had a mimosa and bloody Mary but they also offer wine on tap! Everything was absolutely exquisite and I'd definitely recommend to the younger crowd, especially!

I love this place! Their food is so good, and their best sandwich is easily the Cuban. Highly recommend this place for a quick lunch or for a fun night time spot.

Tattooed moose will give you a food coma in the best possible way. Dive bar atmosphere, big sandwiches, a decent tap list, and everything is delicious. Live music regularly and lots of other events. Generally a great time.

The food was amazing. The chicken sandwich was spot on and so very delicious. As well, a great selection of local drafts.

After reading the review's and looking at the pictures we had to try it out and we were NOT disappointed. The burger was great along with the chicken sandwich, cauliflower casserole which was different but great. You must try the blue cheese fries👍👍awesome. We live in Summerville SC but well worth the trip and will definitely come again with friends. Our server Cole was GREAT, answered all our questions and made our 1st time here nice.

Great place on John's Island. Staff is always fantastic. Large beer selection. Nice outside seating. They are welcoming to families and dogs.

For a restaurant in the middle of know where they sure do have a great atmosphere and they had live music when we were here for lunch. The food was on the pricey side but was very good. They have radiant heaters on the outdoor porch which was nice and they have a good local adult beverage selection. Their food was unique and great! The only reason for 4 v/s 5 stars was because we had to ask out waitress Sam like three plus times for napkins, silverware, and a plate for one of our little one to eat - a little dazed and confused. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out!

Their signature Duck Club sandwich was excellent. The walls are covered in graffiti of pasts guests. And they have a nice collection of board & trivia games to play while waiting for your meal.

This place used to be one of the only places around John’s Island where you could just go to grab a beer and some bar food. The grounds are really nice and tucked back off the road. The wings are pretty good but the duck fat blue cheese garlic fries are what it’s about. These are what I come to get if we’re out that way.

Stopped by to see the Angel Oak Tree and drove by this place... since I’m drawn to tattoos, the name definitely drew me. So glad I stopped to check it out, cause it was really good. The chicken salad BLT was delicious! If you’re in the area, highly recommend this place.

This place is a dive bar place. The walls are boards with writing over it. Seemed like they had a good amount of drink options. The staff was very friendly. I got the pulled pork sandwich. It was okay, I didnt love it. I would consider giving it another chance but would try a new place over returning. They have a big parking lot so that makes parking easy.

Eric W. was our server today. he is a great server and full of personality! he is an asset to your operation. I will ask for him in future visits. Very helpful.

Great atmosphere, live band, beer, yummy food, great service. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews as good as it is. It is kid friendly and dogs can sit with you at the outside tables. If you are visiting from it of town this place will not disappoint.

The best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had. Relaxed eclectic faux dive atmosphere with a plentiful schedule of entertainment activities. Mobil vet and live music was on hand during my visit. Solid eatery with a big personality.

Update again!! Went back for dinner! Short rib chili and Brunswick Stew and duck fat fries, superb!! We LOVE this place and are so glad we don't live here because we would be broke, fatter, but, so happy!! Thanks guys for a Great day!!Update 3/16, Back again!! As good , if not better, than last time!! Duck club is outstanding as evidenced by I ate all of mine plus 3/4 of my wife's! Love it and will be back many, many, times!I loved this visit! Saw this on DDD a few years back, have always wanted to come and finally did today! AWESOME duck club, better than advertised, No.1 Lucky sub, out of this world, chili and Brunswick stew and duck fat fries ,all dynamite! Such a cool place. Food is pretty eclectic and delicious. Personal favs are the duck confit sandwich and the piggy nachos. That coupled with the cool vibe and you got a great place to go when you are visiting the local shore or the Angel Oak tree. Check them out and don't worry if your kids color on the walls even if your kid is a 30 something adult.

Pretty bad chicken salad sandwich take-out. Terrible red tomato, gristle and bones in chicken salad. Very undercooked bacon. Do not recommend. Only had a couple of bites, could not eat anymore of it.

The food and drinks were great. We had the Bleu cheese and garlic duck fat fries. The vibe is fun and I imagine in the summer it's hopping. Taking one star off because the bar tender was okay but not overly friendly.

Are you looking for a burger and a beer? This is your spot. Great food and an extensive craft beer selection. The place has good parking. The noise level could be toned down a bit. Great fun to be had here.

I was on my way to the Angel Oak Tree and noticed the Tattoed Moose while driving bye. After seeing the Angel Oak I returned and I'm so glad I did. It has amazing family atmosphere, great music, friendly staff and great food. Definitely glad I stopped in and ask one of the staff members for a pen and write your name on the door.

First time at the Moose, definitely not the last! Our server, Eric, was super and knew his stuff! We ordered based on his suggestions and he was spot on! I got the Duck Club, I don't even like duck! It was delicious! Great atmosphere, reasonably priced food and drink specials! Worth a visit!

Had a great time. Awesome atmosphere. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat. Good beer selection. I had their specialty, the duck club. It. Was. Delicious. I’m a huge fan of sandwiches, and this was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it, and can’t wait to have another one. My wife had the chicken salad BLT. Also delicious and she recommends it as well. She chose the cauliflower casserole as her side. I was not a huge fan, but it did have a lot of flavor. My wife thought it was excellent. Sweet tea was on point, not too sugary. While we were there they had live music. Out side there is plenty of space and they have corn hole set up. Seems like a great place and I look forward to coming back when we can enjoy a little more time.

Food was very good. Nice atmosphere. Good prices. EXCELLENT SERVICE. Will definitely go back.
